The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas launched its biggest assault on Israel in years early on Saturday, firing a barrage of rockets from Gaza and sending fighters across the border.
The air raid sirens continue to sound in the city of Jerusalem due to the launch of rockets from Gaza, and the Israeli Army has closed roads in the area bordering the Strip after the incursion of Palestinian militiamen who have also kidnapped and killed as of yet undetermined number of soldiers. The Israeli Army declared a state of readiness for war and has mobilized its reservists in response to the situation.
The video shows siren sounds on the streets of Jerusalem. As people say, they have been heard since early in the morning.
