The ancient city of Kashgar in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region received more than 488,000 tourists during the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday that ended Friday.
Kashgar's old town dates back more than 2,000 years.
It's home to the world's largest earth architectural complex.
