"Here I am in Jerusalem. Early Saturday morning, rocket alert sirens sounded a couple of times in Jerusalem and the surrounding towns amid a surprising attack by Hamas in Gaza. In the past few hours, I heard the sounds of multiple explosions from rockets up in the sky. Hamas announced it had fired thousands of rockets into Israel, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Israel is "at war" and vowed to exact an "unprecedented price" from the Palestinian military group.
Dozens of Israelis were confirmed killed and hundreds wounded by Saturday afternoon."
Meanwhile, according to the health authorities in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has left 198 people dead in the enclave.
