Dramatic footage has emerged of the moment New Mexico residents opened their door to a huge snowstorm battering the area on Sunday.

The severe weather conditions were part of 'winter storm Goliath'.

The filmer wrote online: "The wind was blowing from the North West directly onto our porch and continued on all day long (and the entire night before), hindering any visibility. ...

"We are still drifted into our driveway, and since we live on a country road, our road is still covered in about 3 feet of snow."

This video was taken on the morning of December 27, 2015 at about 8 am close to 10 miles south of Tatum, New Mexico. The wind was blowing from the North West directly onto our porch and continued on all day long (and the entire night before), hindering any visibility. The wind and snow finally died off the late evening of the 27th. We are still drifted into our driveway, and since we live on a country road, our road is still covered in about 3 feet of snow.
