A series of cultural activities were held Saturday in Getty Center in Los Angeles of U.S. Southern California to honor Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Getty Center shared traditional and contemporary indigenous perspectives and narratives through music, performances, workshop, food, plants, and more.

Visitors experienced Southern California's vibrant Native American cultures through the full-day events.

Indigenous Peoples' Day is a holiday in the United States that celebrates and honors indigenous American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. It is celebrated across the country on the second Monday in October. This year's Indigenous Peoples' Day falls on Oct. 9.
