SOUNDBITE (English): HASAN AL-DAJAH, Professor in Al-Hussein Bin Talal University in Jordan, Consultant of Belt and Road Academy of Beijing Language and Culture University
"I am involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (research) through my consultant in the institute. I believe it's a very important initiative for the sustainable development of the world.
Most of the countries in the world now involved in this initiative. This initiative will change the face of the world, will change the world politics. It will help developing countries to improve their standards of life, and to improve their infrastructure.
I think this model, the sustainable development model of China, to the people in developing countries, they need it.
I think many Arab countries, now they are participating in the Belt and Road (Initiative). Most of the Arab countries, they are participating. I think all the Arabs look to China as a country which provides, as you can see, a participation with mutual benefits with other countries. The benefit will be shared for both sides, not for one side as the West is doing with these countries."
