A big black bear climbed on to a picnic table to steal a family’s lunch while they could only watch on nearby.

Beto Contreras and his family were staying at a cabin in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on September 22 when they decided to eat a meal outside.

Amazing footage shows a bear had interrupted their lunch forcing them to abandon their food while the animal on to the vacant table.

Beto watched just around the corner as the bear made its way through the leftovers, even picking a straw up in its mouth.

Beto said: “We were eating outside of the cabin we had rented in the mountains when one big black bear approached us.

“We quickly abandoned our table and it climbed on top of it and started eating our food.

“It was quite scary but the bear only appeared to be interested in the food so I went back and got a picture with it.

“There were a lot of bears around the cabin while we stayed there.”
