Footage has been shared of the shocking moment a bear was caught eyeing up a kebab as a man unknowingly munches away on the greasy snack.

Hayden Gutteridge, from Lichfield, England, captured the bizarre scene on camera while working at a lodge on 4 August 2023.

The 26-year-old took a break outside Crystal Lodge, Whistler, Canada, at 11 p.m., and noticed the animal paying attention to the takeaway meal.

The clip was later shared to Instagram, where it has gathered over 429,000 views.

“I was rather shocked,” Hayden, who works in finance, said.

“They’re becoming increasingly common in town due to hotter summers and lack of food, so you often see them around food areas and parking garages.

“I have never seen a man so relaxed eating a kebab with one behind him.”

In the video, the bear can be seen creeping up behind a member of the public.

The man can be seen sitting on a bench, eating his food and seemingly unfazed by the lurking danger.

The video has gathered thousands of likes and comments.
