A squash player was knocked to the ground after his opponent threw their racket in a fit of rage.

Alex Packham, 33, was playing at the Wimbledon Club on October 10 when he won a point that angered his opponent and friend Aaron Neale, 36.

A furious Neale then threw his racket, accidentally hitting Packham square in the face.

"I was playing squash against my friend who has had loads of lessons and I have had none, I was beating him in every game and he got so pissed off he was going to air throw the racket but accidentally hit me in the face and knocked me out," Packham told Newsflare.

When asked if he sustained any injuries, Packham said: "To be confirmed - so far so good but may need an X-ray!"
