Two French tourists discovered the rare Rafflesia Arnoldii in full bloom in Indonesia.

The footage was taken by Heru Nofriandi on 5 October in Jorong Sitingkai Palupuh, Agam regency, West Sumatra province.

The group entered Bukit Aia Dingin forest, the habitat of Rafflesia Arnoldii, and was lucky to find the corpse flower in full bloom.

Nearby, but no less interesting, is a stump. "It is expected to be in full bloom for the next 25 days to 1 month. It is rare to find two Rafflesia flowers close together," Heru said.

According to Heru, in 2023 hundreds of tourists from different countries will come to see the protected plants here. This is for holidays, research, documentation and so on.

The growth of the corpse flower in this place is promoted in the form of photos and videos, which can be seen on Instagram @heru_nofriandi.
