Heroic Chinese couple rescue Ragdoll cat trapped on high-rise platform
A couple rescued a Ragdoll cat trapped on a high-rise building's platform in southern China.
The video was filmed in Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province on September 16.
The filmer Ms Li heard the cat meowing and then spotted it trapped on the platform of a building when she was journeying home.
Despite the floor being desolate and the cat's height rendering any immediate rescue implausible, Li, fueled by her unwavering spirit, endeavoured to save the cat.
She enlisted aid from various quarters - the building's manager, the local constabulary, and even the community's rescue services. Sadly, they were met with brick walls, and the desolate cat remained unreachable.
Refusing to abandon hope, the following dawn saw Li and her partner return with renewed vigour. A fortuitous discovery of a nearby window provided them with a glimmer of hope. Aided by the benevolent building's caretaker, the pair navigated an unconventional route into the building, culminating in the heartwarming rescue of the beleaguered Ragdoll, which had been isolated for what seemed like an eternity.
Li and her partner offered the Ragdoll, now christened 'Fortune', a loving forever home. After a series of medical check-ups, Fortune has nestled into their embrace, completing their family.
