An AirAsia plane was inspected reportedly due to a bomb threat when it landed at an airport in the Philippines.

Footage shows the Airbus A320 parked away from the main ramp of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu province as officials scoured it for potential explosives on October 10.

Commercial pilot Rafiul Ahmed Alvi said the flight had arrived from Japan at around 4:30 pm.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on October 4 that all 42 commercial airports across the country had been placed under heightened alert when aviation officials received an e-mail claiming the flights coming from the capital Manila would be 'set off by a bomb.'

CAAP said in a statement: 'While the information is currently under validation, immediate enhanced security measures are being implemented across all airports.'
