Chinese woman falls into path of oncoming car after trying to duck plant
A woman fell into the path of an oncoming car after trying to duck a plant in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province on October 9 shows a woman taking shelter from the light rain under the eaves of a building. When she tried to bend over and pass beneath a plant, she suddenly lost her balance and fell right into the car's trajectory. The car, which was moving at a regular speed, struck the woman, causing her to fall to the ground.
A companion walking ahead of the victim quickly turned back in horror and confronted the car driver, demanding, "How could you drive like that?". The visibly shocked driver responded, "It wasn't about how I drove. She bumped into my car herself."
Both parties subsequently called the police, and an investigation into the accident is currently underway.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
