People in Nagari Lubuk Alung, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, discovered a pile of unique rock structures at the local stone and soil mining site on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

When it was discovered, people thought the rock structure was a suspected cultural heritage object (ODCB) originating from the megalithic era, in the form of rocks in the shape of blocks and pillars.

These findings have been reported to the West Sumatra Province Cultural Heritage Expert Team (TACB).

From the results of a field inspection by the West Sumatra Cultural Heritage Expert Team, many piles, such as pillars and stone blocks measuring 2 meters or more, were found.

Apart from that, there are a number of objects, such as stone mortars and stone tools (axes). So it is suspected that the findings come from the historical period, namely the neolithic-megalithic period.

Based on information from local people, there is evidence in the area where the stone was found. It is a common place for people to pick up table stones (Nisan).
In the last few months, it has become a C excavation mining area to take the land for the construction of toll roads in West Sumatra.
