On October 10, 2023, a significant fire broke out in the car park building at London Luton International Airport, England, UK, as captured in a video by @cobador. Andrew Hopkinson, chief fire officer at Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, reported that the car park was housing approximately 1,500 vehicles at the time, with up to 1,200 believed to have sustained damage. Flights were temporarily suspended until after 3pm, but normal operations resumed around 4pm after the fire was contained. @cobador, a passenger waiting for take-off, filmed the incident as they were informed by the captain that something was burning near their plane, later discovering that the cars in Luton terminal car park 2 were ablaze.
