Soldiers say more than 100 bodies have been found in the Israeli kibbutz Be'eri, as details emerge of the horror that unfolded when Hamas militants launched a surprise attack.

Be'eri, a self-sufficient farming community of 1,000 residents near Gaza, was one of the first places attacked by militants who crossed the border.

According to Israeli authorities and videos obtained, civilians were killed and others were taken hostage.

The heavily armed militants arrived in Be'eri on motorcycles around 7 am, just half an hour after breaching the high-tech, heavily guarded border wall between Gaza and Israel.
