A dangerous serpent, which caused stirred fear among people at a police training centre in central India's Madhya Pradesh, was captured after a lot of effort by popular snake catcher Akil Baba.

This happened in the Police training centre in Makronia, Sagar on October 12.

Visuals showed Akil Baba trying to capture the snake which had hidden on a shelf in a room at the police training centre. He removed the items to find the snake. He then took out a stick and tried to distract the serpent before looking to grab hold of it. But the task was far from easy. The snake had its hood up the whole time and was seemingly ready to strike if messed with. But Akil Baba didn't give in as well, with hopes of all those present there pinned on him. He tried his best with the stick to distract and was able to have it on his stick.

Capturing the snake, a venomous four-feet long cobra, was far more difficult. It curled up on the stick and was seemingly getting close to biting Akil Baba when he dropped it all. He tried to grab hold of the reptile by its tail and eventually succeeded in bringing it out in the open. After some effort, he managed to grab hold of the snake's neck when it bit the stick. The capture was complete.

Akil Baba later stated that a bite of the snake could kill a human being within 7-8 minutes and only immediate and proper treatment can help a victim survive.
