Dramatic moment men break into and rob phone store at midnight in eastern China
Two men were arrested after breaking into and robbing a phone store at midnight in eastern China.
CCTV video filmed in Wenling City in Zhejiang Province on October 10 shows two individuals using slabs of stone to break the glass door of a phone store, successfully smashing it on their second attempt. With the entryway breached, the duo swiftly entered the premises.
According to reports, moments later, the same individuals rushed out of the store, carrying a box filled with presumably stolen items. A third accomplice, presumably on lookout duty, joined them as they made their escape. The trio then made a hasty getaway in a waiting vehicle.
However, their escape was short-lived. In a rapid response, the Wenling Police Department issued a bulletin on October 12, detailing the events. According to their release, the culprits, identified as Li Mouyuan, Wang Mouping, Yan Moutong, and He Moujie, had travelled from other regions specifically for this heist in Wenling's Taiping Street mobile store.
The authorities deserve applause for their efficiency, as they apprehended all four suspects just an hour after the incident, at 4:54 am, and crucially, recovered all the stolen items. Investigations into the case are ongoing, and it remains to be seen what charges the group will face.
