On October 9, 2023, a stunning video filmed by a tourist showed a modern way to visit a mountain scenic spot by elevator in the Thousand Island Lake Resort in Zhejiang Province, China.
In the footage, which gained nearly 30 million views, the filmer Mr.Yang quickly reached the top of the mountain after taking three lifts with amazing gradients and passing two scenic viewpoints. Aside from the breathtaking views of the landscape along the way, this efficient approach to ascending the mountain is just as surprising.
According to local reports, many mountainous sites in Zhejiang province, including the Tianyu Mountain shown in the video, have lifts for tourists alongside the climbing roads.
