Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, met German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Cairo on Saturday. They exchanged views on the developments of the serious situation in the Gaza Strip.
Aboul-Gheit was keen to emphasize the Arab League's rejection of any form of forced transfer of the Palestinian population from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip or their collective punishment in a manner that blatantly violates the international humanitarian law.
The meeting witnessed a consensus on the necessity of protecting the civilians in the Gaza Strip from Israeli military action, and the importance of bringing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
