SOUNDBITE (English): BREVIA PAN WOON SHIEN, National Organizing Secretary of Young Malaysians Movement
"We are delighted to see and witness the inception of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). I think the most significant project in Malaysia under the Belt and Road Initiative is the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL). During the construction period, our youths are involved in the construction work also. I think this indirectly provides more job opportunities for our youths.
We can see significant economic growth and improvement throughout the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the talent recruitment and the fostering of the growth of technological achievement and also agricultural technological sharing, and also many improvements in different fields, for example education and research."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Beijing.
