A spectacular annular solar eclipse crossed the American continent from north to south, hiding most of the Sun in its central band and causing our star to look like “a ring of fire.”

In one of the most anticipated astronomical phenomena of the year, this annular eclipse was successively visible in different parts of the United States, Mexico and many countries in Central and South America.

Because it crossed all of America, more than 30 million people were able to observe it in its entirety, that is, a brilliant ring of sunlight around the edges of the Moon, which created a unique visual spectacle. Hundreds of millions more will be able to see it in part.
