The annual event sees fresh streetfood served to devotees and tourists who join to enjoy sights and tastes of spectacle in the Chinatown area of the capital city. It is being held along the area's Yaowarat Road from October 14 to October 23.

Followers celebrate purity, good health, auspiciousness, and ongoing charitable endeavors. The festival attracts a substantial number of participants from both Thailand and abroad.

Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, said: 'The Vegetarian Festival is an important annual tradition that embodies the rich culture born from the collaboration of various stakeholders. It fosters community unity and passes down this legacy to future generations.'
