Good samaritans sprung into action to aid an elderly man after a roadside fall.

The video was filmed in the city of Pnazhihua in Sichuan Province on October 12.

An elderly man suddenly collapsed while crossing a road, a mother and her son riding past on an electric bike and a woman from across the road raced towards him to offer their assistance.

The mother-son duo, acting swiftly, parked their bike and supported the elderly individual, even as the woman from the opposite side joined in to lend a hand. Together, they settled him safely by the roadside.

The two women immediately called the police and checked on the elderly man's well-being. The mother, realising her child was about to be late for school, ensured that the man was in safe hands and hurriedly left without leaving her name.

However, the second good Samaritan, identified as Zheng Zhoumei, remained with the elderly man. Zheng, who had just dropped her child off at school, said, "I didn’t think twice. When I saw the old man fall, my only thought was to help him up." She continued, "We tried asking him about his family, but he was quite disoriented. From the few words he could muster, we learned he was over 90 and was out looking for his daughter and son. He had neither money nor a phone with him."

Soon after, local police arrived and discovered an ID card on the elderly man. A quick search helped them connect with the gentleman's family.

It was later revealed that the elderly individual suffers from Alzheimer's disease and had wandered out of his home unnoticed.

His daughter, Ms Yu, said, "My father has been suffering for a long time. He usually sleeps during the day and is awake at night. We usually keep an eye on him during nighttime hours for fear he might wander off. That day, after seeing him asleep, we took a short break, never imagining he'd leave the house."

Yu added, "I am truly grateful to the kind souls who came forward. We had my father checked, and thankfully, he wasn’t injured. Our entire family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks."
