SOUNDBITE 1 (English): JACOB WALLENBERG, Chair of the Board of Investor AB
"As we all know, China is the world's second-largest economy. It's a significant opportunity since many years, as we all know. And that's why many international companies have established themselves here. And I think it's up to us whether it's Chinese or international companies active here in Shanghai to use the opportunities offered. To me, it's important to continue to be present here to continue to invest in research and development skill and be competitive."
SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MIGUEL LOPEZ, CEO of Thyssenkrupp AG
"China is one of the important overseas markets for Thyssenkrupp, especially thanks to the fast-growing automotive and wind power industries. Our automotive technology and bearing businesses in China are seeing a good development. Currently, China is promoting high-quality development and dual carbon goals, which will bring more opportunities. We look forward to contributing to the upgrading and green development of China's industries in these areas in the future."
SOUNDBITE 3 (English): PIYUSH GUPTA, CEO of DBS Group
"Business in China has continued to prosper, so we continue to grow extremely well. We continue to invest quite heavily in China. We've set up a security joint venture, which is based in Shanghai and is actually doing quite well. China continues to be a big opportunity for us."
SOUNDBITE 4 (English): MICHEL DOUKERIS, Global CEO of Anheuser-Busch InBev
"We are very focused on the long term, and the long-term fundamentals for China's economy remain very solid. We think that consumption and the consumer economy is set for growth in China. We are very bullish about the fundamentals of premiumization, high-quality growth, and development of the Chinese economy. This (China) is a very relevant market for us, the most important market that we have in Asia. We continue to invest to develop this industry, to premiumize the industry, and to make sure that our products have close contact and interaction with our consumers."
