For the eleventh day in a row, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to violent Israeli bombardment, affecting hundreds of residential buildings in several areas in the Strip, which has been under siege since 2007.

According to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian death toll has reached 2,808, including women and children, and the number of injured is over 10,800, including critical cases that may pass away due to the lack of medicines and medical equipment in the Strip.

"Here I'm in Sderot, a southern Israeli city bordering the Gaza Strip. Where I am now used to be a police station. With its closest point less than one kilometer away from the Gaza Strip, this city has largely emptied out. Almost 30,000 of its residents have been evacuated to other Israeli cities. Now the Israeli army is continuing its air strikes on the Gaza Strip and situation in the north is also worrying."

"A debate is still going on whether Israel is to allow foreigners and Palestinians holding foreign passports to exit Gaza, and allow humanitarian aid to enter, or not.
The fire exchange continues, the death toll is still rising in Gaza and the West Bank and hundreds of families are devastated due to the occupation policies."

STANDUP 3 (English): WANG HAO, Xinhua correspondent in Cairo
"Let's take a look at the latest regional situation, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken returned to Israel today (Oct.16) after a shuttle visit to the Middle East.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and Syrian President Bashar al Assad had separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin today stressing the need to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza Strip immediately.
It is reported today that the United States, Egypt and Israel are discussing a plan to open Rafah crossing and set up refugee camps on the Egyptian side.
However, observers pointed out that Egypt will also face great challenges.
The current situation is too delicate to be clearly predicted."
