Injured Chinese Red-Crowned Crane Makes Daily Return Visits
On October 10, 2023, in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, a video captured people in a courtyard picking vegetables and preparing to pickle them. What's fascinating is that a majestic red-crowned crane stood nearby, curiously observing the human activity.
According to the filmer, this crane came to visit them every day after being rescued by this family for a leg injury. It flew here during the day and away at night as regular as if going to work. The filmer usually prepares some food for it in the yard, and once the Red-Crowned Crane has fully recovered it will be brought back to the reserve by the management.
