Five injured after drunk driver smashes car into scooters in China
A drunk driver smashed his car into scooters on a road, injuring 5 in southern China.
The dramatic video was filmed in Leping City in Jiangxi Province on October 16.
A black SUV drove against the flow of traffic, colliding head-on with four scooters.
After the accident, the car driver Qian Mowen allegedly abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene. However, following relentless efforts by the local police force, he was apprehended at 2:20 am on October 17. Blood tests have revealed an alarming alcohol concentration of 83.86mg per 100ml in his bloodstream.
Qian is now under criminal detention, facing charges related to dangerous driving. The ongoing investigation and subsequent proceedings are being closely monitored.
