A number of cows went berserk and became wild when they were brought to the starting line during preparation for a cow race in Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra.

This was caused by one of the drones, which flew at a very close distance to the cows that were going to race. As a result, a number of angry cows finally broke loose and ran out of the cow race arena.

That is one of the events that occurred in the "Pacu Jawi," or cow racing event, which took place in Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, on October 14, 2023.

Pacu Jawi is a regional tradition that is usually held before the start of the rice planting season. In this race, the cow and jockey who reach the finish line the fastest are the winners.

Apart from Payakumbuh, Pacu Jawi is also in Tanah Datar Regency. Unlike in Payakumbuh, in Karapan Sapi, the jockey does not chase the cow but stands on the plow, as if surfing in the mud.
