The Iron Dome, or "Kippat Barzel" in Hebrew, is more than just a defense system; It is a testament to human ingenuity in times of conflict. Since its implementation, it has been the main barrier between incoming rockets and the Israeli population. According to Israeli authorities, this system is 90% effective, which means that 9 out of 10 rockets launched against Israel are intercepted and neutralized.

The heart of the Iron Dome is its advanced radar, capable of detecting incoming rockets, calculating their trajectory and determining whether they pose a threat. If a rocket is headed toward a populated area or a site of strategic importance, the system launches a Tamir missile to intercept it in mid-flight. This millimeter precision is the result of years of research and development by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the company behind this technology.

Although the Iron Dome is an Israeli product, it would not have been possible without the financial and technological support of the United States. From its early stages of development, the US has provided funding and technical support, recognizing the strategic importance of this defensive system. To date, it is estimated that the US has invested nearly $3 billion in Iron Dome, an investment that reflects the deep alliance between both nations.
