Elephant herd rampages through market in northeastern India, creates stir amongst people
A herd of elephants rampaged through a market area in northeastern India's Assam.
This incident happened in Murphulani market on October 16.
Visuals showed people at the market running around here and there in fear. The elephant herd rampaged through the market and passed through the space. Although the sighting of these elephants did surprise the people, there was thrill in the air as well with the crowd backing up at a safe distance and watching these pachyderms pass through the market. The elephants did no one any harm and passed through without seemingly harming anyone. People stood at a distance and captured this on their mobiles.
Earlier, an elephant herd in Marangi had entered a farm for crops and munched on them before forest guards chased them back to the wild.
