A pangolin was rescued after it had entered a house in northern India's Uttarakhand.

This incident happened in the Majri Mafi village in Dehradun on October 16.

Visuals showed the extinct animal walking inside a room of a house. The creature did no one any harm and wandered about in the space where it had entered into. Later on, it was released into the wild after being captured by the forest department. The rare creature was spotted making its way through rocky terrain after it was released.

According to a report, the forest department reached the house where this pangolin had entered, after receiving information about the same and acted swiftly to capture and rescue the animal. Speaking to NewsLions, Jitendra Bisht, Forest Guard, Dehradun, said, "Pangolins are extinct creatures and are among the most-trafficked in the world. The creature is mostly trafficked because of its scales, bones and meat. In this case, the pangolin was safely released in the Rajaji park.
