STORYLINE:

The 2023 Sino-German Automobile Conference concluded in Changchun, the capital city of northeast China's Jilin Province on Thursday.

During the three-day event, enterprise representatives, business association leaders and industry experts from the both sides discussed industrial development tendency, leading technologies and industrial innovation to seek more cooperation.

"The German delegation to Changchun is composed of about 50 people. Many enterprises have come with specific demands and goals. I hope that in the following activities, everyone can better understand Changchun's industrial characteristics and find opportunities for investment and cooperation."

A total of 21 auto industry projects were signed, with a total investment amount of 25 billion yuan (3.42 billion U.S. dollars) during the conference.

"Before the establishment of Audi FAW New Energy company, we conducted an in-depth evaluation of different cities and finally chose Changchun as the company's headquarters and production base. Here, we have got strong support from the government. Through Audi FAW New Energy company, we will work together with FAW Group to open a new chapter and make Changchun a center of electric mobility."
