Officials rescue leopard from 30-feet-deep well in western India
A leopard was rescued by the forest department after it fell into a well in western India's Gujarat.
The incident took place in Rohisa village, Jafrabad Wildlife Range, Kheda district on October 19.
Visuals showed the leopard inside the well hanging on to a pipe. A cage tied with rope on several sides was lowered for the rescue.
The big cat was seen trying to get inside the cage. After struggling for some time, it got inside and was pulled up by the forest department members.
Speaking to Newslions, Range forest officer G. L. Vaghela said that the owner of the well saw the leopard inside and immediately informed the forest department.
The staff immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation. After a long struggle the animal was rescued from the 30-feet deep well.
