Padang Residents Drought Clean Water, BPBD Supplies Water Needs

Padang, - A number of areas in Padang City, West Sumatra Province are experiencing drought due to the impact of the dry season.

This can be seen in Batang Arau Village, South Padang District. Where the people of Batang Arau Subdistrict have been experiencing difficulties with clean water for a week. This community previously supplied clean water from a spring on Mount Padang Hill. But because of the dry season, the water on the hill did not flow to the residents' homes.

This spring is the only source of water for the community in Batang Arau Village. Based on data from residents experiencing a clean water drought, there are around hundreds of heads of families in Batang Arau Village.

BPBD Padang distributed two tanks of clean water to residents affected by the water drought. Residents came to the location bringing drums and jerry cans to be filled with clean water supplied by BPBD Padang.

BPBD Padang supplies clean water to the sub-district in 2 tanks, one water tank containing 5,000 liters.
