Woman bangs on train doors and collapses in tears after missing her ride in China
A woman banged on the train doors and collapsed in tears after missing her ride in southern China.
The dramatic video was filmed in Changsha City in Hunan Province on October 16.
A woman desperately banged on the doors of a high-speed train after missing her boarding time. In her visible distress, after being pulled away by railway staff, she dramatically collapsed to the ground, wailing uncontrollably.
Shockingly, as the train began to depart, she made a frantic attempt to chase it down, only to be stopped by the quick reaction of the station workers. Collapsing once more, she lay on the ground, overcome by emotion.
Speaking on the incident, an official from the Changsha South Station police explained that the woman had arrived late to the platform, just moments after the train doors had closed. With her arms full of luggage and just seconds away from making her train, the heartbreak was too much for her to bear in the moment.
The official further clarified that high-speed trains do not reopen their doors once they are closed, regardless of individual passengers running late.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
