This is the shocking moment a car sped through a T-junction and smashed into a building - leaving one man in hospital.

Dashcam footage shows the vehicle colliding with Charles Wilson Auto Engineers in Manchester at just after midnight yesterday (19/10).

It's thought two people were in the car, which crashed on Wilmslow Road in the Rusholme area.

North West Ambulance Service confirmed that a man was taken to hospital to receive further treatment.

Rinzi Phoya, 50, who captured the incident on his dashcam, said: "I was on Wilmslow about to turn into Dickenson - they were coming from Dickenson."

"They sped through the traffic lights and went right into the building, going pretty fast."

"One of them was walking okay and the other was bleeding."

"The passenger got out but the driver had to crawl out as their side was pretty smashed in. The front of the dealership is all glass."

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At just after midnight on Thursday morning (October 19) five fire engines from Withington, Gorton, Manchester Central, and Whitehill fire stations, along with the technical response unit from Ashton fire station were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars and a commercial building on Wilmslow Road, Rusholme."

"Firefighers wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish a fire involving one of the vehicles and worked to make the scene safe."

"Crews were in attendance for an hour and a half."

Charles Wilson Auto Engineers was approached for comment.

Greater Manchester Police did not comment.
