SOUNDBITE (Arabic): MOHANNAD AKLOUK, Palestine's permanent representative at the Arab League (AL)
"Palestine, and the Gaza Strip in particular, is considered an integral part of Arab national security. The United States adopts a policy of double standards. The U.S. views the international law and human rights in Ukraine completely differently from those in the region and Palestine. We, the Palestinian people, are confident that in a multipolar global system, there will be more justice and fairness for the Palestinian people."
Some 1,300 people in Israel were killed in the attacks launched by Hamas. Meanwhile, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said the death toll of Palestinians from Israel's attacks on Gaza had exceeded 3,400.
