STORYLINE:

Residents in the West Bank have blamed the U.S. for its extensive support for Israel in the attacks against Gaza.

The latest round of Hamas-Israel conflict started on Oct. 7, when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli military targets and towns adjacent to the Gaza Strip, prompting extensive Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): SARAH, Resident in Ramallah
"As a Palestinian teenager living in the West Bank, in my opinion, what the West is seeing is definitely not the truth. We Palestinians here seek their help. They are helping the Israeli side with billions of dollars not knowing where their money goes. Their money goes for them to bomb hospitals for the purpose of killing many Palestinians.
There is literally no Hamas in the West Bank, but people are still dying every single day. People are being arrested. Kids are losing their schools because they are getting bombed.
You can't tell me it is a war when one party gets billions of dollars and the other has to work and try to fight by themselves.

SOUNDBITE 2 (Arabic): HAKAM, Resident in Ramallah
"Regarding the American support of Israel, the U.S. considers Israel as one of its 'states.' The U.S. supports Israel with all its might to fight our Palestinian state, especially the Gaza Strip, to exterminate the Palestinians, and force a large number of the Gaza Strip residents to relocate to Arab countries such as Egypt and Qatar."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Arabic): ABDEL FATTAH DAWLA, Fatah spokesperson
"This support is not strange to the U.S. It is the largest supporter of Israel and has supported this occupying country since its beginning. The current president of the United States is the one who said, 'If there were not an Israel, we'd have to invent one.' Therefore, there is unlimited support for Israel to annihilate Gaza. This puts the U.S. in the position of a partner in this war, in which the Palestinian people are exposed to the most horrific bloody massacres in history."

SOUNDBITE 4 (Arabic): SAMI, Resident in Ramallah
"It is known historically that the United States has always been biased toward Israel and is against the Palestinian people. We always reject this because this policy is unfair to the Palestinian cause because it is biased towards the occupying state."

SOUNDBITE 5 (Arabic): Resident in Ramallah
"It is the height of injustice that they support Israel with missiles and warplanes to kill children and women. Most of the dead are women and children. These people do not want to see the truth. The whole world does not want to see it. They are trying to change the facts with lies. We feel so oppressed. I hope that God will have mercy on us from this situation. Only the Palestinians will liberate Palestine."
