STORYLINE:
Violent clashes renewed on Saturday between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at the vicinity of the army's General Command in central Khartoum and areas south of Khartoum.
According to eyewitnesses, the two sides used heavy artillery and anti-aircraft weapons in the sky of the capital.
The units of the SAF's Special Forces on Saturday posted video clips of fierce battles in the Jabra area, south of Khartoum.
Armed clashes also erupted between the SAF and the RSF in Omdurman city, north of Khartoum, eyewitnesses said.
Sudan has been witnessing deadly clashes between the SAF and the RSF in Khartoum and other areas since April 15, resulting in at least 3,000 deaths and more than 6,000 injuries, according to the Sudanese Health Ministry.
