A security officer rescued a woman tumbling down an escalator in a supermarket in southern China.

The heroic video was filmed in the city of Shaoyang in Hunan Province on October 20.

The security officer named Deng ran to catch a woman who suddenly loss her balance and fell down an escalator.

Grateful for Deng's heroic intervention, the woman’s family presented him with a commendation banner, expressing their heartfelt thanks for his selfless act of kindness.

The shopping mall also recognised his exceptional dedication by awarding him tokens of appreciation as a gesture of gratitude.
