Storm Bernard arrived in Spain on Sunday, October 22, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the south and leaving a trail of damage and uprooted trees in its wake.

The storm continued affecting the country on Monday -- 18 provinces in nine regions were under yellow or orange weather alerts for wind, rain and rough seas.
