A group of kids in Probolinggo, on Indonesia's Java, take part in a street game where they kick around a ball that is set alight.

The ball is made from burnt dry coconut and kicked like a normal game of football but players are barefoot.

According to the locals, there is a special technique when kicking the fiery ball to prevent blisters or burns.

A unique game of fire football without shoes is usually played by students at Islamic boarding schools when commemorating Islamic Day and one of them is carried out by students at the Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School, Kademangan subdistrict, Probolinggo city in commemoration of National Santri Day. What's unique about this football is that it uses a ball made from burnt dry coconut, and is kicked like a normal football game without using shoes.When playing fire football there are special techniques so that your feet don't get blisters and it should only be played by people who are used to it and should not be played at home without guidance from an expert.
