A unique fisheye view of the northern lights was filmed in northern Iceland in this eye-melting timelapse.

The timelapse was recorded south of Husavik overnight from the 20th-21st October.

The filmer commented: "Northern lights happen very often up north but not always as big as this here... and the colours were amazing. ... Most aurora is viewed in the late evening to around midnight locally but this is a typical example how northern lights can also be seen late in the night, in the pre-dawn hours... it had been going on all night and seemed to get wilder and wilder before daybreak."
