Hurricane Otis, the strongest hurricane on record to hit Mexico's Pacific Coast, left a trail of destruction in Acapulco after it made landfall as a category 5 storm early Wednesday, October 25.

At least 27 people died from the hurricane's onslaught that left the resort city with widespread damage and power outage. Images on social media show the utter destruction on hotel buildings and homes, and main thoroughfares littered with utility poles, downed trees, and debris.
