Villagers rescued a woman and a child trapped in a car that accidentally fell into a river in eastern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province on October 24 shows a car suddenly reversing into a river.

Nearby villagers quickly jumped into the river to save a mother and a child trapped inside the car.

According to the woman named Huang Lihua, she was about to drive home and accidentally reversed the vehicle into the river due to misoperation.

Huang said that she felt the water quickly rose above her head and breathing became difficult. It feels as if I was pinned down by a car." Her 5-year-old son was also trapped inside with her. "We couldn't unbuckle our seat belts, couldn't open the doors, and couldn't even cry out for help. I felt that was the end."

Thanks to the kind-hearted villagers, Huang and her child were rescued and they were not injured seriously.

10月24日下午，浙江宁波，一女子到北仑白峰街道外峙村看望公婆，在倒车离开时不慎连车带人掉入水中，周边村民纷纷跳入水中救人。
据黄丽华回忆，当天16时36分许，她来看望住在外峙的公公婆婆，随后准备开车回家，倒车时由于操作不当，整辆车翻下河道。
“水很快没过头顶，我感觉呼吸有点困难，感觉整个人像是被车压住了。”黄丽华回忆。
当时，黄丽华5岁的儿子也在车里，“人在水里解不开安全带，也打不开车门，甚至都没法呼救，当时就感觉要完蛋了。”
万幸的是，这一幕被很多村民看到。监控视频显示：留意到车子快要坠河时，边上已经有村民上前拉车，但没能拉住，连忙转头呼救。说时迟那时快，黄丽华的丈夫迅速赶来，飞身跳入河里，紧接着一个、两个、三个、四个……村民也陆陆续续赶来，跳入河里参与救援。
所幸，车门被打开后，母子被顺利救出，因救援及时，两人均无大碍。
10月25日上午，黄丽华女士找到热心村民们，当面表示了感谢。
