A home cook shows how she makes delicious Halloween cookies with sweet spiderweb-glazed surfaces.

Nong Kingkan mixes eggs, sugar, vanilla, and food colouring to make the frosting. She then adds black and white piping to draw the webs onto the regular biscuits.

Footage shows the treats being made at her home in Songkhla province, Thailand, on October 27.

Halloween is celebrated in many countries on October 31, the eve of All Saints' Day, a Christian holiday in honour of all saints. It is believed to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.
