This is the dramatic moment a lorry spilled its cargo when it slammed into a low-hanging tree branch.

The crash happened in the town of Weifang in Shandong Province eastern China on the afternoon of October 24.

CCTV footage shows the white cargo truck unable to cross into another lane because of a car on the right side.

The driver apparently failed to notice the branch from a roadside tree was hanging too low over the road and smashed into it as he approached.

As a result, the trailer was broken apart, and all the cargo loaded inside was scattered over the street.

Eyewitnesses reported that the front of the vehicle and the driver were unharmed, but the cargo compartment was completely destroyed.
