An adorable kitten led a security guard on a chase around a shopping centre pillar before being caught.

Rhea Pagaduab was shopping in Cebu City, The Philippines, on October 17 when she spotted a little cat trying to shelter from the sun and heat outside.

Funny footage captured the moment a member of staff tried to get hold of the mischievous feline who tried to hide underneath a pillar.

After leading the security guard on a merry chase around the pillar multiple times, the pussycat was picked up by the bloke who carried it outside.

Rhea said: “It was a sunny day and the cat wanted to play inside the mall in some shade.

“This part of the mall doesn't allow stray cats so the guard was trying to get him out.

“But the cat did not get the assignment and had a little play time with the guard leading it on a merry chase around the pillar. It was very funny.”
