This is the moment a raging bull sends a group of card players flying as it fled a slaughterhouse in eastern China.

The steer had been due for the chop-in when it broke free and fled near Suzhou, Anhui Province, on October 28.

Shocking CCTV video footage shows the bull, with a snapped rope still around its neck, charging into a garage where four elderly people were playing a game of cards.

As it ran through the open door, it smashed into the table and all four were sent flying by the half-tonne beast.

One, wearing a red shirt, was picked up on the bull's horns and tossed into the air.

Another, already using crutches, was trampled into the ground as the bull turned and fled before the footage ended.

Astonishingly, reports local media, nobody suffered serious injuries.

Witnesses say the bull belonged to a household in the village and it escaped while its owners were attempting to slaughter it. It is unclear if the bull escaped or was recaptured.
